Happy September beautiful people!

With Fall on our doorstep, we have been soaking up the last warm days before we swap the flip flops for the wool socks. Maple creamees have been a consist source of energy for us this month. Shout out to Silloway Maple! They’re a great family business slinging some delicious creamees north of us in Randolph.

This month has been a chaotic blur of adventure and work. Fresh off his return from out West, Nick brought back a ton of photos and great stories about his trip to Montana and Wyoming. We have also been busy in the shop finishing up a Derby Tea Table build and video for the upcoming show in Brattleboro. Want to find out more?

Montana Trip

Nick just returned from an unbelievable trip out to Montana and Wyoming with this buddy Matt (sup Matt!). Labeled as a good ole’ fashioned cast-n-blast, they spent a week fishing for trout and hiking the hills for grouse. They also made it down to Yellowstone for a few days to fish some of the legendary waters of the park.

Disclaimer: The beauty of this place is beyond words. The photos below don’t hold a candle to experiencing it in person.

Upcoming Show at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center

We’ve been cranking away at the shop making and documenting the build of a new Derby Table for the upcoming Evolving Traditions exhibition at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. The Guild of VT Furniture Makers is presenting some incredible work that will be on display from the end of October through the middle of February. We will have a series of our Derby tables on display showcasing the evolution of its design over time. Erin is creating a video documenting the process that will accompany the tables at the exhibition. It’s our hope to convey the complexity and beauty behind crafting handmade furniture.

There will be a variety of handcrafted furniture on display by the other members of the guild; beds, chairs, benches, mirrors, and more. Come check out the work by some amazing master craftspeople!

New Date! Opening Exhibition: Saturday, October 23, 11am–1pm
