October 2021

Leaf Season IS here!

Does it get any better than fall in New England? As busy as October was for us, we still made it a priority to get outside and be in nature. It’s too good to pass up!

Keep scrollin’ to see what we’ve been up to.

Evolving Traditions: Brattleboro Museum & Art Center

Last weekend we attended the opening of Evolving Traditions at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. 19 members of the Guild of VT Furniture Makers brought a wide variety of handcrafted furniture, including beds, chairs, benches, mirrors, and more. It’s on display now through the middle of February.

We have three Derby Tables on display, showing the evolution of the design over the last few years. Erin captured the making of the latest version from start to finish and turned it into a beautiful video to accompany the tables in the space. The video is a wonderful way to show visitors the detail and complexity of handcrafted furniture. Watch it below, or go see it yourself in person!

Forest Bathing

We set aside some time recently to take our morning coffee for a walk through the Green Mountain National Forest and bathe in all the autumn colors. These walks are both mentally and physically therapeutic for us. We get some of our best thinking done during these times together. A moment to breathe, philosophize, and re-calibrate for the week to come.

Erin made a video to share the peacefulness of it all with you.
